Akiva is a provider for the state voucher system of Ohio. There are two voucher programs available. Please contact the office to learn ways to qualify for this program. The voucher program pays the entire tuition amount. 

Akiva also has a school-based financial aid program for private pay families. Every applicant is guaranteed a scholarship.

Akiva is a chartered private school for students in Kindergarten through grade 8. This means that the Ohio Department of Education has reviewed our curriculum and has given full approval. The Ohio Achievement Tests are administered to grades 3-8. Our students are fully prepared for these assessments, and do well. Each year we learn that graduates of Akiva have been accepted into advanced placement programs at their respective high schools.

The classrooms at Akiva are all air-conditioned. This year each room at Akiva was furnished with an air purification system. We benefit from the close proximity to the Jewish Community Center. Akiva students have physical education in a full-sized gymnasium, swim class in their Olympic-sized inground pool, and outdoor recess in the beautifully equipped fenced in playground.

Akiva students benefit from a detailed security plan. Security guards are commissioned police officers and daily supervise arrival and dismissal. Cameras are strategically located to keep close surveillance on all windows and exit doors. A Marcs system can directly notify Youngstown Police within seconds. All entrances to Akiva are locked at all times and require visual and audio identification to access the school.
